The announcement is another example of the high-level development of China-Hungary ties, and China welcomes it.

Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said it was good news for Hungarian tourists and businesspeople that the Chinese authorities will offer visa-free travel to Hungarian nationals between March 14 and November 30. He said that “in the spirit of reciprocity”, Hungary issues long-term visas for the leaders of Chinese companies investing in Hungary. These steps will further strengthen the economic and tourism cooperation between the two countries and their citizens.
Wang Wenbin, Spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responded:
China and Hungary are comprehensive strategic partners, and the cooperation between the two sides in various fields has yielded fruitful results. We have noted that following China's announcement of a visa-free policy for Hungary and five other countries, Hungary promptly announced facilitation measures for issuing five-year multiple-entry visas to relevant Chinese businesspersons. This is another concrete manifestation of the high-level development of China-Hungary relations, which China welcomes.
believe that these measures will further promote personnel exchanges between the two sides, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, and advance bilateral relations to a higher level. China also welcomes other countries to provide more visa facilitation for Chinese citizens, promoting two-way personnel exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation.
